In August 2013, Dgroups counts 2.297 communities, with around 167.691 registered users. It delivers around 400.000 email messages each day. The Dgroups Foundation is committed to make Dgroups accessible and affordable to all development organisations.
To fulfill its responsibilities, the Board of the Dgroups Foundation prioritized seven work areas in 2013:
- Platform improvement
- Service reliability
- Users’ support for optimum use of the platform
- Engagement with current partners
- Marketing and outreach
- Governance and administration
- Monitoring and evaluation
You can read about specific objectives for each work area and results achieved in 2013 in the annual Activities Report on the Dgroups wiki.
The work on the Dgroups Board continues in 2014 to further improve Dgroups and progress towards our common vision:
A world where every person is able to contribute constructively to dialogue and decision-making for international development and social justice.
We welcome your comments on how to improve Dgroups and look for organizations that share our vision and are interested to join Dgroups.
