Community incubation and facilitation

• Set up and support the launch of online communities of practice (CoPs), typically using Groups.io
• Provide onboarding, configuration, and light facilitation during the start-up phase
• Offer tailored coaching and documentation for community administrators and moderators

Strategy, tools, and platform guidance

• Support the design and launch of online collaboration spaces or communities
• Advise on roles, engagement models, and onboarding strategies
• Assess collaboration needs and recommend simple, inclusive, and sustainable tool/platform options

Implementation and technical support

• Build lightweight websites or interfaces to support online communities, dialogues, or knowledge platforms
• Provide troubleshooting and technical guidance for supported platforms
• Assist with integration and configuration of systems such as Groups.io, WordPress, Google Workspace, ODK, DSpace, and Nextcloud
• Help streamline collaboration workflows across tools, aligned with the Principles for Digital Development

Capacity strengthening and peer learning

• Design and deliver tailored workshops on facilitation, community management, and online collaboration
• Offer individual or group-based coaching for moderators and community leads
• Provide ongoing accompaniment and light-touch support to strengthen collaboration capacity over time

Facilitated dialogue and events

• Co-design and run time-bound online dialogues using asynchronous and live methods
• Design and facilitate thematic events (online, in person, or blended)
• Support blended approaches that link online discussions to in-person processes

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)

• Evaluate the performance and sustainability of online communities and collaboration spaces
• Co-develop Theories of Change, indicator frameworks, and learning-oriented MEL approaches
• Design MEL systems embedded in group workflows and collaboration tools
• Build user-friendly dashboards to track progress and engagement
• Train teams in data collection, reflection, and learning-based decision-making
